Interesting developments are taking place at the US Department of Government Efficiency. The head of DOGE, Elon Musk, intends to inspect the US gold reserve stored at the Fort Knox military base.
Recently, the billionaire and SpaceX founder considered a proposal by Senator Rand Paul to investigate the status of the US gold reserves at Fort Knox. The official reached out to Elon Musk on February 17. In addition, a photo posted on X (formerly Twitter) showed a young Rand Paul from years ago holding a sign referring to America's gold reserve.
The head of the US Department of Government Efficiency was quick to respond to the situation. He is prepared for decisive action, including an inspection of the US gold reserves at the Fort Knox military base. On his X account, the businessman emphasized that the gold is considered the property of the American people, adding that he still hopes it remains at Fort Knox.
Furthermore, the businessman accompanied his post with a meme from the American animated comedy "South Park" featuring the phrase "annnnd it's gone," a line spoken by a bank employee announcing that customers' funds have disappeared.
Earlier, Musk asked who could confirm the presence of gold at Fort Knox. "Who is confirming that gold wasn’t stolen from Fort Knox?" Musk wrote. "Maybe it’s there, maybe it’s not. That gold is owned by the American public! We want to know if it’s still there," he speculated on X. These thoughts were prompted by Senator Rand Paul's request and his photo taken at the military base.
According to official data, America's gold reserve is still located at Fort Knox, one of the most secure vaults in the world. Open sources report that approximately 4,580 tons of gold are stored there, along with unique relics such as the US Declaration of Independence.
