The Brand Finance Global 500 is the list of the world's most valuable brands. Over the past few years, the top positions in this ranking have been occupied by Apple, Amazon, and Google. However, they periodically replace each other.
Last year, Apple's brand value surged by a record 87.4% to $263.4 billion. Notably, this refers only to the company's brand value rather than to its market capitalization. Such explosive growth enabled the tech giant to take the top spot in the ranking for the first time in five years. Amazon valued at $254.2 billion was ranked second. The third place went to Microsoft, whose brand value was estimated at $191.2 billion. Microsoft ($140.4 billion) and Samsung Group ($102.6 billion) rounded up the top five. Tesla's brand value increased by a staggering 158%, making it the fastest growing brand in the 2020 list.
