Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc. (ZBH), a leading medical technology company, has announced plans to commercially launch the Z1 Femoral Hip System (Z1 System) for total hip arthroplasty at the 2024 annual meeting of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS).
This eagerly awaited Z1 Femoral Hip System is a triple-taper femoral design that pairs with Zimmer Biomet's renowned G7 Acetabular System to offer surgeons a versatile, streamlined, and efficient solution for total hip arthroplasty.
During the conference, which will take place from November 7-10 in Dallas, data underscoring the safety and durability of the G7 Acetabular System will be showcased in the poster sessions.
The Z1 System features a three-plane taper to ensure initial axial and rotational stability, combined with long-term stability across diverse femoral anatomies. This system is engineered for cementless applications and provides both collared and collarless options, alongside three unique neck configurations to accommodate a range of patient anatomies.
The Z1 System comes equipped with a single streamlined instrument tray, designed to minimize the instrument footprint and alleviate processing and sterilization challenges.
