Norway House Price Dip in April

In April 2025, house prices in Norway experienced a slight decline of 0.2% compared to the previous month, which had seen a modest increase of 0.1%. This marks the first decrease in home prices after eight months of consecutive growth. By the end of April, the average cost of a home in Norway was NOK 4,873,834. Among various regions, Porsgrunn/Skien saw the most significant increase in prices, with a rise of 1%, whereas Asker/Bærum experienced the largest drop, falling by 1%. The average duration to sell a home in April was 47 days, improving from 50 days in the month before. Bergen reported the fastest selling time at 16 days, while homes in Fredrikstad/Sarpsborg and Ålesund, along with surrounding areas, took the longest to sell, averaging 72 days. Over the past year, house prices have increased by 5.9%.
