In April 2025, North Macedonia experienced a 1.4% year-on-year increase in industrial production, a marked deceleration from the 5.2% rise recorded in March. The manufacturing sector saw its growth moderate, with an increase of 2.5% compared to 4.8% in the prior month. In contrast, the output of the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector dropped significantly by 18.3% following a 12.9% increase in March. Meanwhile, mining and quarrying output decreased, although the decline slowed slightly to 1.2% from 1.5%. When evaluating the first four months of the year, industrial production was up by 1.8% compared to the same period in the previous year.
