In June 2025, Georgia experienced a slight reduction in its trade deficit, which decreased to USD 732.8 million from USD 781.4 million in June of the previous year. This represents the smallest trade deficit since March 2024. Comparing year-on-year figures, exports saw a rise of 10.4%, reaching USD 640.2 million, while imports increased modestly by 0.9% to USD 1,373.0 million. During the first half of 2025, the nation's trade deficit expanded to USD 5,464.6 million, up from USD 4,894.9 million in the same period in 2024, driven by exports and imports increasing by 13.7% and 12.4%, respectively.
