In June 2025, Slovenia experienced a 2.2% year-on-year increase in retail sales, marking a slight decline from the revised 2.5% growth recorded in May. The growth in sales of food, beverages, and tobacco products decelerated to 0.7% from May's 2.1%, while sales of non-food items also saw a reduction, decreasing to 3.1% from 3.4% in the prior month. Conversely, there was a notable uptick in sales of automotive fuel in specialized stores, which surged to 3.6% from 0.3% in May. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail sales witnessed a 0.8% drop in June, a reversal from the 0.6% increase observed in the previous period.
