In July 2025, Turkey experienced a 5% drop in foreign visitor numbers compared to the same period the previous year, tallying at 6.97 million. This marks the third consecutive month of decline. Significant reductions were noted in arrivals from Tunisia (down 20.7%), Italy (down 20.1%), Libya (down 17.4%), and the UK (down 9.7%). Conversely, Luxembourg accounted for the largest portion of foreign tourists at 16.5%, followed by Finland at 13.9% and Sweden at 2.2%. Among the destinations, Antalya remained the most favored, drawing 37% of all foreign arrivals, with Istanbul following at 27%, Edirne at 10.2%, and Mugla at 9.2%. During the first seven months of the year, total foreign arrivals decreased by 2.1% compared to the previous year, reaching 28.37 million.
