In August, Argentina's Consumer Confidence Index experienced a decline, registering at 39.94, a decrease of 13.9% from July's figure of 46.37. The Current Conditions component fell by 14.9%, while Future Expectations saw a decrease of 13.1%. Examining the specific components, the Personal Situation indicator dropped by 12.9%, the Macroeconomic Situation decreased by 13.7%, and the Durable Goods and Real Estate component plummeted by 15.2%. The decline in confidence was more pronounced among low-income households, which saw a decrease of 18.3%, compared to a 10.3% decline among high-income households. When compared to the previous year, the index was down by 3.6% from August 2024.
