FX.co ★ Kazakhstan Current Account Deficit Widens in Q3

In the third quarter of 2025, Kazakhstan's current account registered a deficit of USD 3.11 billion, up from USD 2.11 billion in the same period the previous year, according to preliminary estimates. This increase is attributed to a widening services deficit, which reached USD 0.31 billion compared to USD 0.26 billion in Q3 2024, and a larger primary income deficit of USD 6.08 billion from USD 5.41 billion. Meanwhile, the trade surplus saw a reduction, falling to USD 3.45 billion from USD 3.74 billion. However, the secondary income gap showed a slight improvement, narrowing to USD 0.17 billion from USD 0.18 billion.
