Italy's manufacturing confidence index rose to 89.6 in November 2025, up from a revised figure of 88.4 in October, exceeding market expectations of 88.5. This is the highest level since June 2023, indicating an improvement in outlook for orders, which increased to 4.3 from 3.3 in October, and production, which rose to 3.5 from 2.2. Manufacturers also showed less pessimism regarding the overall economic outlook, with the index moving from -12.2 to -11.2. However, there is a slight decline in optimism about future employment, down to 0.5 from 1.3, and growing concern over price trends, which increased to 6.8 from 6.3.
