Retail sales in Slovenia rose by 2.2% in October 2025 compared to the same month the previous year, building on an upwardly revised increase of 1.7% in September. This represented the most significant upturn in retail activity since June. The growth was notably driven by a 4.3% increase in non-food products, up from a marginal 0.1% in September. Conversely, growth in automotive fuel sales at specialized stores decelerated to 4.7% from 7.7%, and there was a decline in sales of food, beverages, and tobacco by 1.1%, compared to a 0.7% increase previously. When adjusted for seasonal variations, retail sales in October advanced by 0.9%, following an upwardly revised 0.1% gain in the month before.
