Retail sales within the Eurozone remained unchanged in October 2025, following a slight upward revision to a 0.1% increase in September. This performance fell short of the anticipated growth of 0.1%. The data highlighted growth in sectors such as food, drinks, and tobacco, which experienced a 0.3% increase compared to a 0.2% decline in the previous month. Automotive fuel also saw a similar 0.3% uptick, up from no change in September. However, these gains were counterbalanced by a decline in non-food purchases, which decreased by 0.2% after remaining stable in the preceding month. On a yearly comparison, retail activity exhibited stronger momentum, with sales increasing by 1.5%, surpassing the 1.2% growth recorded in September and slightly exceeding the forecasted 1.4% rise.
