In September 2025, the United States saw a slight increase of 0.6% in its imports of goods and services, reaching a total of $342.1 billion. The importation of goods notably rose by $1.7 billion to $266.6 billion, primarily driven by significant upticks in pharmaceutical preparations ($12.9 billion), nonmonetary gold ($1.9 billion), and computer accessories ($1.7 billion). However, there were notable decreases in imports for crude oil, which fell by $1.3 billion, computers by $4.7 billion, and electric apparatus by $1.5 billion. Additionally, the imports of services experienced a modest growth of $0.3 billion, bringing the total to $75.5 billion.
