Greece's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased to 7.5% in December 2025, the lowest observed since May 2008, following a revised rate of 8.1% in November. The number of unemployed individuals dropped by 31,200 from the previous month, resulting in a total of 354,900 unemployed persons. Concurrently, employment saw a decline of 19,400, lowering the total number of employed individuals to approximately 4.4 million. In contrast, the number of people not participating in the labor force rose by 48,300, reaching about 3 million.
