In December 2025, Denmark's unemployment rate remained steady at 2.6%, consistent with the preceding three months, and marking its peak since November 2024. The number of jobless individuals rose slightly by 0.3 thousand from the previous month, reaching a total of 78.7 thousand. The unemployment rate for men nudged up to 2.9% from 2.8%, while for women it stayed at 3%. The number of those receiving net unemployment benefits increased marginally by 0.1 thousand to 69 thousand, and recipients of cash assistance went up by 0.2 thousand to 9.7 thousand. This rise is mainly attributed to a higher number of Ukrainians with residence permits characterized as job-ready. Additionally, the youth unemployment rate (covering individuals aged 16 to 24) saw a 0.2 percentage point uptick to 1.5%, and for those aged 25 to 29, it rose by 0.1 percentage points to 4.9%; other age brackets experienced no change.
