Producer prices in Malta experienced a slight decrease of 0.1% year-on-year in December 2025. This marks the first decline in a seven-month period following a 0.5% increase in November. The most significant drop was observed in intermediate goods, which fell by 2.4%. In contrast, prices for capital goods rose by 4.9%, and there was no change in the prices of energy and consumer goods. On the domestic front, prices rose by 0.6%, while prices in the non-domestic market decreased by 0.7%. When compared to November, the overall Producer Price Index (PPI) saw a reduction of 0.5%.
