Turkey’s Producer Price Index (PPI) accelerated sharply in January 2026, rising 2.67% month-over-month, up from a 0.75% increase in December 2025, according to data updated on 3 February 2026.
On a month-over-month basis, the latest reading indicates a notable pickup in cost pressures at the producer level. While December’s 0.75% gain suggested a relatively moderate increase in input and factory-gate prices, the January surge to 2.67% points to renewed upward momentum in the producer price trend.
As the PPI tracks the change in prices that producers receive for their output compared with the previous month, the January figure suggests that businesses in Turkey are facing significantly higher production costs than in late 2025.
