Both the current and previous indicators measure changes against the same month a year earlier, confirming that while the sector continues to expand, the pace of growth is gradually cooling. The December 2025 reading of 5.3% year-over-year indicates that construction activity remains on a positive trajectory, but no longer matches the higher growth rate seen in September.
The shift suggests a maturing phase in the construction cycle as the sector transitions from peak growth toward more moderate, but still solid, expansion levels heading into 2026.
