Mexico’s economy posted a modest acceleration at the end of 2025, with gross domestic product (GDP) growing by 0.9% quarter-over-quarter in the fourth quarter, up from a 0.8% quarterly expansion previously recorded in the same period. The updated figures, released on 23 February 2026, show a slight strengthening of momentum in the quarter-on-quarter performance.
According to the comparison framework, the current 0.9% reading reflects the change in GDP from the third to the fourth quarter of 2025, while the earlier 0.8% figure captured the change from the second to the third quarter of 2025. The data suggest that, although the pace of growth remains moderate, Mexico managed to improve its short-term economic performance as 2025 drew to a close.
