FX.co ★ Mexico Economy Posts Strongest Growth Since July 2024

Mexico’s economic activity index increased 3.3% year-on-year in December 2025, rebounding from a 0.1% decline in November and marking the strongest expansion since July 2024. Growth was led by the primary sector, which surged 11.4%, driven by a 14.8% rise in agriculture, while livestock activity expanded 3.2%. Services grew 3.2%, supported in particular by a 17.1% increase in cultural, sports, and other recreational activities. Meanwhile, the secondary sector advanced 2.4%, as construction climbed 6.6% and utilities rose 3.9%. On a seasonally adjusted, month-on-month basis, overall economic activity grew 0.4%, following a 0.1% contraction in November.
