The September figure reflected a 0.6% drop versus August, while December’s 0.3% gain shows a modest but notable stabilization in the sector.
The month-over-month comparison highlights that, although the rebound is still relatively mild, U.S. construction spending has moved away from contraction and into growth as the year closed, suggesting a more resilient backdrop than seen in late summer 2025.
