Azerbaijan’s gross domestic product increased by 0.3% year-on-year in January–February 2026, slightly above the 0.2% growth recorded in the same period a year earlier. The non-oil and gas sector expanded by 1.4%, while the oil and gas sector contracted by 1.7%.
On the production side, industry remained the largest contributor to GDP, with a share of 32.7%. It was followed by trade and vehicle repair (11.4%) and transport and warehousing (7.5%). Construction accounted for 3.9% of GDP, agriculture, forestry and fishing for 3.2%, tourist accommodation and catering for 2.8%, and information and communication for 2.1%. Other sectors collectively represented 24.1% of economic output. Net taxes on products and imports made up 12.3% of GDP.
