Corporate employment in Poland declined by 0.9% year-on-year in March 2026, falling to 6.39 million employees. The contraction was slightly sharper than market expectations of a 0.8% decrease and followed a 0.8% drop in February. This marked the 30th consecutive month of falling corporate employment and remained the most pronounced decline in the current sequence. Month-on-month, employment slipped by 0.1% after a 0.2% decrease in February. At the same time, average monthly gross wages increased by 5.7% year-on-year, reaching PLN 9,652.
