Slovenia’s seasonally adjusted manufacturing business tendency indicator improved to -6 in May 2026 from -8 in April, reaching its highest level since January. The assessment of current production turned positive (3 vs -1 in April), and production expectations strengthened (6 vs 3). Total order books continued to decline but at a slower pace (-21 vs -23), while stocks of finished goods were unchanged at 3. Employment prospects also improved (6 vs 4), whereas selling price expectations softened (21 vs 26). Reported uncertainty dropped markedly (32 vs 65). Across sectors, confidence increased in retail trade (by 0.9 points), manufacturing (by 0.7 points), and services (by 0.2 points).
