Ireland Property Price Inflation Eases in April

Residential property prices in Ireland rose by 6.2% year-on-year in April 2026, easing from an upwardly revised 6.7% increase in March and marking the slowest pace of growth since February 2024. Both house and apartment price growth moderated: house prices were up 5.9%, compared with 6.1% in the previous month, while apartment prices increased by 8.0%, down from 9.1%.

By region, annual price growth in Dublin slowed to 5.4% from 5.7%, while prices outside the capital rose by 6.9%, compared with 7.2% a month earlier. Within Dublin, the strongest increase was in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, where prices grew by 5.9%, while Fingal recorded a 3.6% rise.

Price levels continued to vary widely across the country. The highest median price for a dwelling was €685,750 in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, while the lowest was €197,000 in Longford. On a monthly basis, residential property prices were flat for the second consecutive month.
