Cyprus’ current account deficit widened to €1.27 billion in Q1 2026, compared with €1.01 billion in the same quarter a year earlier. The goods deficit was broadly stable at €1.58 billion, while the services surplus narrowed to €1.25 billion from €1.47 billion. The primary income shortfall eased slightly to €0.78 billion from €0.83 billion, whereas the secondary income deficit increased to €0.17 billion from €0.07 billion.
