France’s manufacturing sector moved back into expansion in June, as the HCOB France Manufacturing PMI rose to 51.2, up from 49.7 previously.
The increase from below the 50.0 threshold to above it signals a shift from contraction to growth in manufacturing activity. Both the previous and current readings are reported for June 2026, with the latest data update released on 1 July 2026.
The improvement in the PMI suggests a strengthening in operating conditions for French manufacturers, indicating firmer production trends and potentially more resilient industrial momentum heading into the second half of 2026.
