Frankfurt’s DAX 40 climbed back above the 25,000 mark on Tuesday, driven by a rebound in global technology shares as investors positioned ahead of key earnings reports. The recovery was led by the US tech sector, with the Nasdaq 100 gaining more than 1% as companies exposed to artificial intelligence continued to draw strong demand.
Semiconductor producer Infineon advanced 5.8%, supported by renewed interest in chipmakers after stronger export figures from South Korea and Taiwan. Siemens Energy added nearly 4%, as investors highlighted its strategic role in providing power infrastructure for the rapid expansion of data centres.
Industrials were among the best performers, with Siemens up almost 2% and Airbus rising 1.3%. Bank shares also traded higher, while healthcare stocks gained after Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis posted second-quarter sales and earnings that exceeded market expectations.
