Investors are also bracing for a busy week of corporate earnings and the Federal Reserve’s upcoming policy decision. Quarterly results are due from megacap technology companies including Apple, Microsoft, and Meta Platforms, as well as from major firms such as Visa, Exxon Mobil, Starbucks, Ford, and PayPal. On the policy front, the Fed is widely expected to leave interest rates unchanged on Wednesday and then raise them in September, although some market participants believe the central bank could move as early as this week’s meeting.
