The Baltic Dry Index fell 1.7% to 2,696 on Monday, snapping a three-session winning streak. The Capesize Index — which tracks vessels that typically carry about 150,000 tonnes of bulk commodities such as iron ore and coal — declined 2% to 4,200, its lowest level since July 23. The Panamax Index, reflecting ships that usually transport 60,000 to 70,000 tonnes of coal or grain, slid 1.2% to 1,999, its weakest reading in eight weeks. Among smaller vessel classes, the Supramax Index decreased 1.4% to 1,670.
