India has left its Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) unchanged at 3.00%, according to the latest data updated on August 5, 2026. The ratio, which determines the share of deposits that commercial banks must hold as reserves with the central bank, remains at the same level as the previous reading of 3.00%.
The decision to maintain the CRR at this level indicates no immediate change in the regulatory reserve requirements imposed on banks, leaving their ability to extend credit broadly unaffected through this channel. For now, the stability in the CRR suggests continuity in this aspect of India’s monetary and liquidity management framework.
