Taiwan’s Monthly CPI Inflation Eases to 0.31% in July 2026

Taiwan’s consumer price pressures moderated in July 2026, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) on a non-seasonally adjusted basis rising 0.31% month-over-month, down from a 0.52% increase in June 2026. The latest data, updated on 06 August 2026, indicate a slowdown in the pace of price gains compared with the previous month.

On a month-over-month comparison, July’s reading shows that while prices continued to rise, they did so at a weaker rate than in June, when the index had climbed more sharply from May levels. The moderation suggests some easing in near-term inflation momentum as the rate of monthly increases in Taiwan’s CPI decelerates.
