France’s official reserve assets rose to €357.05 billion at the end of July 2026, up from an eight-month low of €355.39 billion in June, largely reflecting higher foreign currency holdings. Foreign currency reserves increased to €34.37 billion from €32.42 billion in the previous month. In contrast, gold reserves edged down to €276.79 billion from €277.03 billion, claims on the IMF slipped to €39.42 billion from €39.46 billion, and other reserve assets declined to €6.46 billion from €6.48 billion. A year earlier, in July 2025, total reserve assets amounted to €303.04 billion.
