Tourist arrivals in Slovenia surged by 10.6% year-on-year to 1.163 million in July 2026, the highest level since August 2025, following a 1.9% increase in the previous month. Foreign tourist arrivals rose by 10.9% to 1.014 million, with visitors mainly coming from the Czech Republic (24.0%), Poland (18.5%), Germany (14.0%), Hungary (11.0%), and the Netherlands (5.2%). Domestic tourism also expanded, with arrivals up 8.9% to 148.9 thousand.
Overnight stays increased by 8.9% to 3.256 million, with most tourists staying in mountain resorts (up 13.8%), urban municipalities (10.5%), the capital (7.5%), and other municipalities (9.4%).
Over the January–July period, total tourist arrivals grew by 6.6% year-on-year to 4.1046 million, while overnight stays rose by 6.6% to 10.5412 million.
