FX.co ★ Czech Republic Forex Reserves Hit Record High

Foreign exchange reserves in the Czech Republic increased to USD 184.6 billion at the end of August 2026, up from USD 180.7 billion in July. This was the highest level on record, supported primarily by a rise in foreign currency reserves, which grew to USD 166.8 billion from USD 165.1 billion. Gold holdings also expanded, reaching USD 12.6 billion compared with USD 11.0 billion in the previous month. The country’s IMF reserve position inched up to USD 0.775 billion from USD 0.769 billion, while holdings of Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) rose slightly to USD 3.54 billion from USD 3.51 billion. In addition, other reserve assets increased to USD 0.80 billion from USD 0.26 billion.
