Producer price inflation in Kazakhstan eased to 5.6% in August 2026, the lowest level in seven months, down from 9.1% in July. The deceleration was driven primarily by lower price growth in mining and quarrying (5.1% vs. 10.9% in July) and manufacturing (5.5% vs. 7.8%). In contrast, price pressures increased slightly in the sector covering electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning (12% vs. 11.8%) and in water supply and waste collection (8.7% vs. 7.9%). On a monthly basis, the producer price index (PPI) fell by 1.2%.
