The number of people in employment in the United Kingdom increased by 67,000 to 34.478 million in the three months to July 2026, following a rise of 83,000 in the previous period. This was the smallest increase since February, as a decline in part-time positions partly offset continued growth in full-time jobs. Compared with the same period a year earlier, employment grew by 243,000, supported by gains in both full-time employees and part-time self-employed workers.
