Saudi Arabia’s wholesale prices increased by 4.6% year-on-year in August 2026, easing from a 5.0% rise in July. Price growth slowed in agriculture and fishery products (4.8% vs. 6.2% in July) and in other transportable goods excluding metal products, machinery, and equipment (8.2% vs. 9.7%). Deflation continued in ores and minerals (-1.8% vs. -0.1%), while prices for food products, beverages, tobacco, and textiles were flat after falling 0.6% in the previous month. In contrast, prices rose further for metal products, machinery, and equipment (2.2% vs. 1.5%). On a monthly basis, wholesale prices declined by 0.2% in August, following a flat reading in July.
