Moldova’s industrial production increased by 7.1% year-on-year in July 2026, slowing from a three‑month high of 10.6% in June. Manufacturing growth decelerated to 6.2% from 10.2% in the previous month, dampened by sharp slowdowns in several key segments: food products (11.1% vs 18.4% in June), textiles (24.7% vs 40.1%), computers, electronics and optical products (14.3% vs 36.2%), and metal construction and metal products (15.2% vs 19.4%). Activity also eased in the electricity, gas, steam and air‑conditioning supply sector (18.0% vs 19.4%).
By contrast, mining and quarrying posted stronger growth, with output accelerating to 20.5% from 10.3% in June. On a monthly basis, industrial production rebounded by 7.6% in July, following a 0.9% decline in the previous month. Over the January–July period, industrial output rose by 7.7%.
