FX.co ★ Netherlands Current Account Surplus Widens in Q2

The Netherlands’ current account surplus widened to €16.91 billion in the second quarter of 2026, up from €13.10 billion in the same period a year earlier. The goods surplus increased to €16.29 billion from €13.04 billion, while the services surplus rose to €13.88 billion from €13.19 billion. At the same time, the primary income deficit narrowed to €10.98 billion from €11.36 billion. By contrast, the secondary income deficit expanded to €2.27 billion from €1.78 billion a year earlier.
