The current 2.6% figure is measured against the same quarter a year earlier, in line with the year-on-year comparison methodology. The previous reading of 2.7% was likewise a year-on-year comparison for the second quarter, showing that Spanish GDP growth has eased but not dramatically, suggesting a still-resilient, if gently moderating, expansion.
