Armenia’s annual inflation rate slowed to 4.3% in September 2026, down from 4.4% in August, reaching its lowest level since May. Price growth eased in several categories, including food and non-alcoholic beverages (6.2% vs 6.4% in August), health (3.3% vs 3.5%), miscellaneous goods and services (2.9% vs 3.5%), furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (2.2% vs 2.5%), communication (0.2% vs 0.6%), and education (3.2% vs 8.3%).
At the same time, prices accelerated in other sectors: housing and utilities (2.1% vs 1.4%), transport (2.8% vs 2.4%), clothing and footwear (4.6% vs 3.6%), and restaurants and hotels (5.4% vs 5.0%). Costs for recreation and culture rose by 0.8% after remaining flat in August, while inflation for alcoholic beverages and tobacco held steady at 7.5%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 0.2% in September, unchanged from the previous month.
