Bush, author of several books on economics, there are several factors that could undermine the political and economic foundations of North America. The expert warns that inaction will turn into a catastrophe since all five risk factors are available in the US. Trump will have to make tough and effective decisions to save the country, T. Buchholz underlines.

The problem of labor shortage can be solved by migrants, but they are able to split the dominant culture.

The second significant factor is, according to T. Buchholz, the globalization of trade. Without it, economic growth and the multiplication of wealth are impossible. The economist considers the erosion of the traditions and character of the nation, the erasure of borders, which can be dangerous for the people, as a negative side of expanding trade.

The third risk factor, according to the expert, is an increase in the debt burden. As the welfare of the country increases, debt bubbles are inflated, the expert believes. As a result, wealthier countries accumulate huge debts that exceed the debts of poor countries many times. For example, the indebtedness of Mexico or Russia is much less than that of Japan, the United States or euro-zone countries.

When the economy of rich countries is destroying, people do not starve, but simply refuse to work, T. Buchholz writes. Over the past 17 years, the number of adult citizens who want to work has declined in the United States. For example, in West Virginia, only 50% of the working-age population work. Millions of American citizens do not want to go to work, the expert points out. As a result, creative work goes to the background, which is fraught with self-destruction and the collapse of the state.
