On August 20, in the Chinese national park Zhangjiajie, the grand opening of the longest glass suspension bridge on the planet took place. Thousands of tourists came to look at the piece of architectural art.

The length of the bridge-record-holder reaches 430 meters, width - s6 meters. Many people are impressed by the height at which the bridge with a transparent surface is erected - the distance from the ground to the construction is 300 meters.

About 800 people can be on the bridge, which consists of dozens of heavy-duty glass blocks, at the same time.

On August 20, park visitors were the first to test an unusual construction. Recall that reports about the opening of the longest and tallest glass bridge in the world appeared in May, but then the presentation of the building was postponed due to bad weather.

The main architect of the structure is the Israeli Chaim Dotan.

This bridge is an excellent addition to other attractions of Zhangjiajie. In the national park, there are always a lot of tourists - it was here that the shooting of the acclaimed film "Avatar" took place.

The management of the park said that it will not let more than eight thousand visitors a day to the bridge.
