Mark Zuckerberg presented the "smart house"
Traditionally, at the beginning of the year the founder of the social networking site Facebook Mark Zuckerberg tries to set ambitious tasks that he must perform to December. In January 2016, the businessman promised his fans to create a simple artificial intelligence that can help in the management of the house. The youngest billionaire in the world has kept his promise - at the beginning of this week, he presented Jarvis to Internet users.
Zuckerberg admitted that in total he spent 100-150 hours on the creation of Jarvis. During this time the house assistant learned a lot. For example, he knows how to turn on and off lights, adjust the heating in the house, as well as opening and closing doors. These are basic skills that every "smart home" should house. The assistant fulfils the above-mentioned tasks with the help of the company Crestron system. Jarvis can not just turn on and off lights and battery, it also sets the necessary brightness and temperature.
Also, Zuckerberg's Jarvis, responding to the appropriate voice command, is able to play music. The businessman placed the Sonos columns around the house - they play songs from streaming service Spotify. In addition to the request for a particular artist, Jarvis is able to pick songs itself, based on the preferences of the owner, and firstly play the most popular tracks of the desired artist .
Zuckerberg taught Jarvis to distinguish the voices of households. So, it knows exactly who gives the command - Mark or his wife, Priscilla. After finding out who addresses it, Jarvis turns on the light in the office of the relevant person or puts his favorite track.
Jarvis knows in which room is the man who gives it a command. According to this, the system, for example, switches on the light in the room where the man is. This ability of the "smart home" was appreciated by the Zuckerberg's spouse - they are raising a small daughter Max, so the turning on of the light or music in a room where there is a child would be inappropriate.
Jarvis nurses the year-old Max, watching her through the camera. Also, it is able to distinguish the house guests - when someone rings the doorbell, the camera takes pictures of their faces, and Jarvis finds users in the database. If the system knows who is in front of it, then the door opens. Notifications with the photo goes to the owner of the house.
Also, Mark Zuckerberg taught Jarvis to turn on the toaster. The businessman had to buy a model of the 1950s, as modern toasters, equipped with a safety system, do not make it possible to place the bread inside before switching the appliance into the wall socket.
In addition to all of the above, Jarvis knows how to fire clean t-shirts (Zuckerberg connected the system to the special gun, stuffed with fresh clothes), as well as speak in the voice of Morgan Freeman.
