American businessmen actively invest in solar energy. At the moment, the largest companies in the country have installed solar panels. This allowed them to save large amounts of electricity and contribute to the protection of the environment. Below you can find a list of such companies.

Target

Target became the leader among US companies. A year ago it installed solar panels with a capacity of over 40 MW. Currently, the company has more than 200 MW of used capacity.

Walmart

The second place in the ranking of Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) was taken by Walmart, which installed solar batteries with a total capacity of 150 MW. The retail giant also plans to reduce harmful emissions by 1 billion tons by 2030.

Prologis

The third place in the list of companies with an impressive amount of solar panels is held by Prologis: it has slightly less than 121 MW of installed capacity. The company aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20% by 2020.

Apple

The fourth place in the ranking of SEIA is occupied by the IT-giant Apple. Earlier, the company's management stated that its infrastructure in all countries of the world is 100% working at the expense of clean energy. In Apple, this is considered a huge achievement.

Kohl's

Kohl's, being in the fifth place of the SEIA list, not only installs solar panels and monitors its impact on the environment, it also annually processes about 150 thousand tons of materials.

Costco

The sixth position among the companies that installed a significant amount of solar batteries goes to Costco. The company is actively developing solar energy. It uses solar photovoltaic systems in 100 storage facilities located from New York to Japan.

General Growth Properties

The seventh place in this list belongs to the company General Growth Properties specializing in real estate. It installed 50.2 MW of capacity for processing solar energy.

IKEA Group

The eighth place in the SEIA's rating is given to the company IKEA Group. According to the management, the company intends to produce as much renewable energy as it consumes. In 2020, IKEA plans to receive all consumables from renewable sources.
