2nd rank - Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime

Swiss manufacturer Patek Philippe created the Grandmaster Chime watch for the 175th anniversary of the company, which was celebrated in 2014. At that time, the accessory whose case was made of 18-carat gold cost $31 million. This watch became not only one of the most expensive in the world but was also recognized as the most sophisticated of all that has ever been introduced in the market. Their mechanism consists of more than 1,300 parts and has 20 different functions, including a perpetual calendar, a moon phase indicator, and a minute repeater.

Designers at Breguet took four years to implement this idea. The Grande Complication Marie-Antoinette was rolled out in 2008 with a price tag of $30 million. The accessory was made of 18-carat gold and engineered with several complicated functions, including a minute repeater and a perpetual calendar.

In early 2023, American jewelry and watch company Jacob & Co. presented the Billionaire Timeless Treasure watch worth $20 million. The high price of this item is due to the fact that very rare yellow diamonds were used in its design. Gems for watches were selected for more than three years. The company had no choice but to support this trend and named the watch after the Hollywood legend. In 2017, a copy that belonged to Paul Newman was sold at auction for a record $18 million.
