Jeddah Tower (Saudi Arabia)

Rising to a staggering 3,281 feet tall, Saudi Arabia's Jeddah Tower could one day set a world record as the tallest skyscraper on Earth. It will also have the world's tallest observation deck.

Located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, it's the brainchild of SWA Architects, the same firm behind the current world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa, in Dubai.

It's slated for completion sometime in 2019. Jeddah Tower will feature an extensive network of restaurants, hotel rooms, apartments, parks, and a shopping mall. Basically, it's a city inside a skyscraper. One of the tower's key features is its observation deck, located on the building's 157th floor. That's 55 stories higher than the deck at New York City's Freedom Tower, making it the tallest observation deck in the world.

Suzhou Zhongnan Center (Suzhou, China)

Located to the west of Jinji Lake, the Suzhou Zhongnan Center is a 729-meter, 138-story mixed-use tower with office, residential and hotel space. The tower has five stories below grade and an eight-story, long-span podium that provides ballroom and conference facilities. The observation deck will be located at an altitude of 592.8 meters. The Suzhou Zhongnan Center is positioned to be the tallest building in China, and the third tallest in the world when it is completed in 2020.

Lotte World Tower (Seoul, South Korea)

The Lotte World Tower is a 123 floors and 1,819ft high built on the banks of River Han in Seoul. After almost seven years of planning the €3.3billion tower houses office space, luxury residence and a seven-star hotel. It also boasts the world's highest glass-bottomed observation deck and the world's fastest elevator – taking visitors to the top in just one minute.

And on the 85th floor, it also claims to have the world's highest swimming pool in a building. The observation deck of the facility is located at an altitude of 497.6 meters and offers an overview within a radius of 80 kilometers.

Marina 101 (Dubai, UAE)

Marina 101 is an iconic structure that will stand tall along Dubai's skyline, strategically located in the prestigious Dubai Marina. At a cost of over AED 1.2 billion, the project comprises 101 floors, rising 427 m and covering an area of approximately 1.65 million square feet. The observation deck is at an altitude of 375 meters.

Lakhta Center (St. Petersburg, Russia)

The Lakhta Center is a mixed-use complex being constructed along the shore of the Gulf of Finland, approximately 9km away from St Petersburg's city centre. The complex will comprise a tower, a multifunctional building, a stylobat and a park. The 462.7m tall tower within the complex is touted to become the highest skyscraper in Europe and one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world. It will serve as the headquarters for Gazprom and its subsidiaries. The observation deck will be located at an altitude of 353.3 meters.

The Steel Peak" ("Eurasia") (Moscow, Russia)

Eurasia Tower or Steel Peak is a 308.9 m (1,013 ft) tall skyscraper in Moscow International Business Center Moscow, Russia. The complex will house offices, apartments, a hotel, and other entertainment facilities. It is also one of the 94 supertall skyscrapers in the world. Located on plot 12, is an office/recreational space with a total area of 207,542 square meters. It will be situated on a three-tier podium which will have a fitness centre, entertainment, restaurants, and shops.

World One (Mumbai, India)

World One is a 442 metre high development which will be the tallest building in India and the world's second tallest residential complex upon completion.An observation lounge positioned 305 metres (1,000 feet) above the ground providing an unhindered view of the Arabian Sea and the cityscape.

Hudson Yards (New York, USA)

This multifunctional complex in New York will be finished by 2019. It is the most significant development project in the history of the United States since the time of the Rockefeller Center. The height of the building will be about 383 meters. The viewing platform will be at an altitude of 336 meters.
