When the concept of swing trading and that of a position trader is being considered, one can really be able to see the amount of similarities that lies between them. While these two concept focus on trading strategies or techniques that requires that a trader holds a position or stays in the market for longer than a day, with the hope to ride the overall market trend and make good profit. Swing trading and position trading both requires that a trader pays attention to longer time frames in other to make adequate market analysis and prediction. The only difference that exists per se between the swing trader and position trader is that, even though the swing trader stays in the market more than a day, the position trader stays in the market longer than the swing trader and operates with more capital which automatically gives room for higher risks to be taken.
